Justin Plummer

I've always called North Carolina home. I grew up in Greensboro, going to Greensboro Day School for middle school and high school. I had the life-changing opportunity to go to The Outdoor Academy for half of my sophomore year, which is where I picked up my love of outdoor recreation and team-building. 

Although I was pretty excited about majoring in biology when I went to college, an accident in the course catalog led to me taking an anthropology class my very first semester which reoriented all of my academic aspirations towards that field. Outside of class, I spent most of my time as a work study student and trip leader for the outdoor program: backpacking in Hot Springs, NC; caving in Blacksburg, VA; canoeing in the Florida Everglades; and whitewater rafting on the Gauley in West Virginia.

Two of my friends ended up working as Community Coordinators at NCSSM post-college and they thought it would be a good fit for me given my experience with and enthusiasm for working with teens to develop leadership skills, to learn to take care of themselves and others, and to have fun. I was a Community Coordinator for eight years before becoming the Associate Director of Student Services, my current role, and moving-off campus.

Aidan Germond

Hi I’m Aidan! I live in Durham but before that I lived in Arizona for most of my life. My favorite hobbies are playing soccer, reading manga, working out, and playing video games. My favorite football team is the Buffalo Bills because I was born in Buffalo. I also watch pretty much every one of their games so if you ever want to talk about football, I’ll probably be down. The best part of campus life in my opinion is living so close to people your age that you can pretty much hang out with whenever. The things that I’m most excited for this year are my senior season of soccer and unlimited free ice cream. I’m always happy to help with any questions juniors have about campus life or classes so feel free to let me know if you do.

Krish Naik Gaunekar

Hey everyone! My name is Krish Naik Gaunekar I'm one of the RLAs for 3rd East this year! I am from the Greensboro/High Point area. I am the treasurer for the NCSSM Electric Vehicles Club. Some of my hobbies are traveling, coding, going to the gym, doing DIY projects, volunteering at local libraries, and learning about languages/cultures. I am usually very active as I did track & field and volleyball last year and occasionally played soccer. In my free time, I relax by playing pool, ping pong, video games, or watching soccer matches. My favorite teams are FC Barcelona and Tottenham Hotspur. If you have any questions or interests in any of the clubs or activities feel free to reach out. Skyler Qu

Hi y'all! My name is Skyler Qu! I'm from Morrisville NC, and I’ll be one of your RLAs this year on 3rd East! My passions and interests mainly lie in biology and many other subjects. Outside of classes, I really enjoy swimming, birdwatching, and playing Pokemon Go. I'll be somewhere on campus most of the time, so just message me anywhere if I'm not in my room!
